This car is not an actual SS396. This Chevelle does sport all of the SS396 badges, SuperSport badges and 396 TurboJet badges. It also has the SS hood…and yes, under the hood it sports a 396ci BBC engine (block number 3935440). The remaining drivetrain consists of a 4-speed manual transmission and a GM 10-bolt rear end. Items to mention under the hood are a newer Everstart Maxx battery, Edelbrock carburetor and fairly new dual exhaust. This car also has power steering. On the inside, this car presents itself very well also. There are no tears, cracks or fading in any of the seats, dash pad, door panels, headliner, carpeting, etc. This Chevelle has front bucket seats, Hurst shifter, original AM radio, and sports a whole array of gauges…fuel, speedo, clock and aftermarket temp, volts, and oil pressure. This car is very clean on the inside and outside. Body is very straight and solid. Floors, frame and truck are solid as well. Trunk is in very good condition and looks as it did when it was new with trunk mat and full size spare. Car also has new fuel tank and shocks. This car also has a very mean looking stance. It sits on BOSS Motorsports 5-spoke wheels…18 inch on the front and 20 inch on the back. For tires, this car runs on Nitto NT555 Extreme ZR’s…225/40ZR18’s on the front and 255/35ZR20’s on the rear.
